BIO:
Dr. Jeff Adams is a dedicated State Director of Special Programs with over 25 years of experience serving students in Arkansas. Prior to the Director role, Jeff served for 5 years as the State Systemic Improvement Plan Coordinator for the Arkansas Department of Education - Office of Special Education. Jeff’s career has been marked by a deep commitment to improving outcomes for students with disabilities. With a passion for optimizing meaningful access and participation for students who are served on IEPs, Jeff has spearheaded numerous local and statewide initiatives aimed at improving outcomes. A licensed speech-language pathologist, Jeff believes that elevating the student’s voice in decisions pertaining to their individualized education program is paramount to overall student success. He holds a doctoral degree in education with an emphasis on organizational behavior and systems change and is an adjunct instructor in complex disabilities and augmentative/alternative communication at the University of Central Arkansas. Jeff loves The Natural State and currently resides in Little Rock with his wife and two children.
