BIO:
Alissa has served the SEA for 16 years, and prior to her role as state director, she was the director of special projects for Exceptional Student Services, overseeing the areas of secondary transition, assistive technology, secure care, data management, and operations.
Alissa believes the best part about leading special education in Arizona is the opportunity to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholder groups, communicating positively and effectively to help spark and support meaningful engagement toward improving outcomes for children with disabilities.
