Project Forum
NASDSE’s staff works on a number of short and long term projects – some funded by the U.S. Department of Education and others funded by NASDSE itself. NASDSE only takes on projects that the Board of Directors deems appropriate and are directly related to serving its members and the special education community in general as well as supporting NASDSE’s mission to promote a performance-based educational system responsive to the needs of all children and youth, including those with disabilities. NASDSE’s projects help support the NASDSE vision of families and community members engaged with capable, well-prepared professional and paraprofessional educators as full partners in the educational process. Schools and early childhood environments are places within which diversity is encouraged and appreciated.

Project Forum was a federally funded project at NASDSE for nearly 30 years that ended at the end of December, 2012. The project identified information needed to improve the management, administration, delivery and effectiveness of education programs and services, and promoted utilization of research data and other information for improving outcomes for infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities. Project Forum provided information on emerging issues, studied critical issues and convened small work groups to gather expert input related to specific topics.
NASDSE's Project Forum website has been taken down. All documents that were formally on that website can be found on this page as well as by going to the Publications page link on our Home page.
