Deborah Dominguez-Clark began her job as Director of Special Education in New Mexico in October 2016. Prior to becoming the Director of Special Education in New Mexico, Deborah served as the Special Education Director of Albuquerque Public Schools.
Deborah Dominguez-Clark believes the best part about leading Special Education in the state of New Mexico is that we have the best students, families, educators, and community members. This is her home community. The special education division has been working on alignment for the past several years and emphasizing that our students are general education students first and we need to always begin with that lens.
