NEW HAMPSHIRE
Rebecca Fredette began her job as State Director of Special Education in New Hampshire in 2019. Prior to becoming the State Director of Special Education in New Hampshire, Rebecca served as an Education Consultant in the Bureau of Student Support on the monitoring team for public schools and private providers of special education. Rebecca previously worked as a principal and assistant principal in the state and has worked in the field of special education for 20+ years.
Rebecca believes the best part about leading special education in New Hampshire is the collaborative work between the Department of Education staff, families, and the Local Education Agency staff to improve outcomes for students with disabilities as well as the unique perspective New Hampshire educators bring to the table.
