INDIANA
Nancy Holsapple began her job as State Director of Special Education in Indiana in 2018. Prior to becoming the State Director of Special Education in Indiana, Nancy served as a local special education director at an Inter-local. Nancy served in this position for fifteen years. Prior to this position, Nancy served as a special education administrator and teacher in the following areas: Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Mild Cognitive Disabilities, and Emotional Disabilities having taught all grade levels except preschool. Nancy has thirty-six years serving students in special education.
Nancy believes the best part about leading special education in Indiana is the ability to work with over four hundred local education agencies and families to ensure students identified with a disability are provided the most equitable and accessible education possible.
