CONNECTICUT
Bryan Klimkiewicz began his job as Special Education Division Director in Connecticut in 2017. Prior to becoming the Special Education Division Director in Connecticut, Bryan served as a local district special education administrator for 10 years in the role of Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Services and Special Education Director. Bryan also has experience working as a paraprofessional/teaching assistant, special education teacher, IEP team supervisor, and residential coordinator in the public and private school settings.
Bryan believes the best part about leading special education in Connecticut is having the opportunity to support students across the state in achieving positive and successful outcomes throughout their educational journey. It is an honor and a privilege to represent the Connecticut State Department of Education, leading a team of extremely bright, talented, and committed individuals in the Bureau of Special Education.
